This website is a great credit to Barry, who donates many hours in making sure that as many groups within the partnership are as fully represented as possible.

Please remember that these pages contained can only be accurate if Barry is receiving up to date information regarding each groups activities and that it is not Barry's responsibility if items are not included.

I am sure that he would be pleased if once a month secretaries from each groups could send him an update on their own groups development or activities.

With everyones continued support the partnerships website becomes an invaluable asset not just for sharing information between the individual groups, but also for providing a partnership in action working model that many other individuals can access and use in their own development from all over the country and beyond.

Hi there (To all the people that attended the seminar on the 1st Nov 05)
It was nice to meet all the people who are associated to the partnership.
After meeting you all I am please to see that the partnership has such diversity as a group and that there is such a friendly atmosphere surrounding all the stakeholders of the project.
I found that everyone was welcoming towards me, which made me feel at ease on my first official meeting with the whole group. (Thank you to all)
I am looking forward to working with the partnership and all the individual groups. As soon as I receive my start date my first approach to the project will be to begin to set up individual group meetings in order to get more of a feel for each park group, and what their needs are based upon.
Regards
Richard Coote (New Community Parks Co-ordinator)

P.S I would like to thank Wendy for such wonderful catering and big thank you all the people that volunteered help towards serving the food throughout the day.

last week we used Queens Park to take photographs of a local wedding with the Bride & Groom. Contrary to the reaction of a lot of public parks we were greeted with tremendous enthusiasm and courtesy, and the Friends of QP were extremely helpful in making the day perfect for the happy couple.

I would just like to say a big thank you for letting us use such a magnificent facility, may your endeavours go from strength to strength

Best Wishes

Hia - it is great to see the CDPP is going from strength to strength. The project has delivered some fantastic schemes across the town and I am sure there is much more to come. The drive and commitment of Stephen and Christine Hyde and the committed members within the town has ensured that our parks and open spaces have a bright future . The work at Queens Park is particularly impressive and I am pleased also to see that the Valley Gardens which has suffered a few highs and lows over recent years is now under the caring umbrella of cdpp. Well done and thank you from all those enjoy the Parks.

Hi all, being one of the security officers/parks patrol/wardens for the cdpp and wmdc. I would like to say thanks to all the members for making the position possible, and also thanks for giving me the post . I would like to say also dispite a few difficulties initially, we are now hopefully, through our efforts making the parks a safer place and cleaner place to be. It is great seeing the enthusiasum of the parks community teams and groups, its a great pleasure also to be able to work with such people. Which i hope is reflecting through the work we are doing.
I hope that in time to come, other parts of the district will recognise the hard work put in by the cdpp and launch into the same frame of mind.
Thanks all
Ian.

congratulation Barry on the hard work that has gone into this site, it shows that the people in Castleford are working hard to create a better environment for everyone.
I hope this site inspires others around the Country to get together and save more green spaces, In Cutsyke where i come from we have created a park from derelict land and if we can do it anybody can.

Enjoy your bowls.

Thank you Christine for telling me about the website. It's a hugely informative resource and great see how different parks across the town are networked up, and how many of the people I've come to know while being in Castleford are involved. It'll be going into my favourites!

Best wishes
